Security: PCRC Drums Support For Police in Tackling Insecurity

The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has reaffirmed its support for Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, expressing confidence in his leadership and encouraging him to continue his service to the nation.

The National President of PCRC, Ibrahim Olaniyan, who gave the assurance during the recognition of six serving female police officers, for their exemplary services also solicited the support and Cooperation of all Nigerians for the for towards discharging its constitutional responsibilities.

Olaniyan said the initiative was to boost morale, promote inclusion and encourage women to continue contributing to national security.

Olaniyan said that under his three years of leadership, the PCRC has helped secure post-retirement positions for senior male officers and is now expanding advocacy to support female retirees.

He said the PCRC, now 42 years old, is well placed to know the value of empowering retired female officers and will continue urging government and organisations to offer them second-chance opportunities.

Retired Superintendent Phoebe Vincent Niyel, one of the honourees, served as Second-in-Command of the Eagle Net Special Squad in Delta State before retiring in 2023 described the recognition as a significant milestone, noting that being selected among many retirees shows the growing appreciation for women who served the Force with dedication.
